With a continued focus on the development of their pharmaceutical portfolio and salesforce, an opportunity has arisen for a Learning and Development Manager

This role will be instrumental in developing and implementing the training department's activities with the aim of ensuring a high competency level for the business to help deliver the company's strategic goals.

The role of the Learning & Development Manager has 2 critical functions:

To design and deliver all training for sales personnel and Sales Managers and associated roles, including running ITCs, conducting customer facing field support to follow through new hires as appropriate. Manage training needs analysis and Improve and support and input into HO training as required.

To provide remote and in-field sales support including coaching and managing in the field, conducting dual visits to customers in the absence of field sales management on an adhoc interim basis.


A degree in life sciences or marketing

ABPI Code of Practice trained and certified

Person/Experience Required

Experience of working in an NHS or pharmaceutical/healthcare industry training role. Proven track record of coaching in pharmaceutical/healthcare role. A proven track record in influencing the prescribing decision-making process with senior NHS customers in primary and secondary care. A self-starter and effective problem solver who is accountable for own actions and results.

Cardiology, Men's health experience would be advantageous

Key Competencies specific to the role ;Strategic thinking, Leadership and coaching skills, Excellent presentation skills, Attention to detail, Influencing and negotiating, High level of communication skills, Diplomatic, Excellent team player.
