Ashfield is currently recruiting for a Headcount "NHS Liaison" position on behalf of a pharmaceutical company. The NHS Liaison will be accountable to achieve sales and activity targets within defined key accounts and region. Call on defined targets in CCG's / HB's and secondary care to sell the product portfolio. Build long term business relationships with key customers to ensure maximum potential is achieved for products. To meet all relevant standards and objectives, as set by the Company and Manager.

Key Responsibilities

* Achieve Sales and activity targets on territory for promoted products as per the annual / cycle KPI's with your defined geographical region
* Core responsibility is calling on KOL's, decision makers and policy influencers in Primary Care, Secondary Care, Clinical Commissioning Groups or Health boards and other NHS bodies such as CSU's and AT's
* Monitor local sales vs target and competitor activity
* Develop the Vitamin D market in the locality and drive the branded prescribing on licensed product over unlicensed and competitor therapy
* Reporting on activity and sales into the company systems
* Create local business plans in line with national strategy to deliver financial and activity targets
* Ensure maximum sales and value is gained through the portfolio and short and long term objectives are set and monitored
* To fully understand the D&T process in all target units and across primary and secondary care and ensure a positive outcome for all products
* Liaise with contract sales team and ensure support is given from KOL's for speaker meetings
* Communication of CCG / HB's or secondary care guidance to the contract sales team to ensure an effective sell of products on their territory within your region
* Direct where possible the contract sales teams to ensure the best possible outcome for the portfolio
* Create positive environment on the territory for the product and other key products
* To proactively maintain up to date knowledge of products and therapy areas.
* To understand and remain updated on the NHS environment both at a National level and throughout the local health economy.
* To understand the company clinical and team management priorities and how they affect the territory.

Essential Skills

* Educated to degree level in a business or science subject
* Good IT skills
* ABPI qualified
* Ideally with over 3 years' branded (ethical) pharmaceutical sales experience in selling to secondary care specialists and CCG's / HB's.
* Experience with strategic NHS including CCG's, HB's, CSU and hospital trusts.
* Ideally, commercial experience dealing with contracts through PASA as well as local volume based hospital contracts.
* Demonstrated sales success within Pharma
* Good networks and relationships within disease areas and CCG's / HB's, would be an advantage
* Highly organised and efficient, whilst maintaining flexibility
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
