We are currently looking for a Technical Lead to join the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) team at an exciting Biotechnology company based in the Oxfordshire area. As the MSAT Technical Lead you will be responsible for providing technical and scientific leadership to clinical and commercial manufacturing internally and third party CMO sites including technology transfer, technical troubleshooting, complex deviation investigations, change control, and continuous improvement.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the MSAT Technical Lead will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Lead cross-functional activities working across Research, Process R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality Groups.

2. Technical reviewer of manufacturing documentation (batch manufacturing records, deviation handling, CAPA, change controls, SOPs, etc.).

3. Help to build and maintain a process-specific knowledge database for technology transfer, NPI and process stewardship; identify continuous improvement activities to improve performance.

4. Generate and review documentation supporting technology transfer and NPI. Define success criteria for technical transfer and provide expert evaluation of the technical outcomes.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the MSAT Technical Lead we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Biological Sciences along with significant industry experience in bioprocessing either upstream or downstream.

2. Proven industry experience in a GMP environment working on the production of biopharmaceuticals.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with scale up / scale down / tech transfer / new product introduction will be highly advantageous.
