Role: UK & Ireland Marketing Manager
Location: Scotland (commuting distance from Edinburgh)
Package: Negotiable base salary depending on experience plus a range of benefits including car, bonus, pension, health insurance.

Our Client is a rapidly growing speciality pharmaceutical company engaged in the development and commercialisation of prescription medicines for the treatment of unmet therapeutic needs in major markets.
They are entering an exciting pre-launch phase with an array of development and in-licensed global products which will join an expanding, successful product portfolio.
With more than 300 people employed by the Company, it is headquartered in Scotland with commercial operations throughout the rest of the UK and continental Europe and a US head office.
They are seeking to recruit a Marketing Manager reporting to the Marketing Director. This key leadership role will set the strategic direction for products within the UK product portfolio and ensure all objectives are met within budget.
Reporting into the Marketing Director, your key responsibilities as Marketing Manager within this highly visible, strategic role will include:
Development and implementation of strategic marketing plans
Sales forecasting and budget management
Successful implementation of tactical marketing activities
Gather continuous intelligence on each product's performance, competitors and customer attitudes, proposing appropriate actions as the market environment for your product changes.
Brand lead on inter-departmental projects liaising closely with sales management, medical, regulatory, supply chain and legal departments
Develop and maintain a close interface with sales management and the field force
Maintain full accountability for the correct and effective management of all budgets associated with your product

The Person/Experience:

Experience of managing a UK pharmaceutical product with a proven track record
Ideally you should be able to demonstrate exceptional sales success across a portfolio of products in both primary and secondary care (or equivalent)
Brand management experience
You must speak good English, have good communication and presentation skills and be able to work within cross-functional teams
Key Competencies specific to the role ;Strategic thinking, Leadership and coaching skills, Excellent presentation skills, Attention to detail, Influencing and negotiating, High level of communication skills, Diplomatic, Excellent team player.

A degree in life sciences or marketing (or equivalent)
ABPI Code of Practice trained and certified
Marketing accreditation, CIM (or equivalent) would be advantageous
