Our client is a boutique agency delivering high quality pharmaceutical marketing materials with a focus on outstanding service to their clients. Recent business growth requires them to seek an Account Director / Senior Account Director to join their team in their offices in London or Kent.

The successful candidate will be required to take overall responsibility for designated accounts, ensuring effective delivery from all team members, as well as playing a proactive role with clients and providing them with a high level of service.

- Leading and directing account activities for assigned accounts
- Developing and cementing strong client as well as supplier relationships to ensure the delivery of all projects to the highest possible standards of client satisfaction
- Leading all client interactions whilst also line managing, training and mentoring other members of the team
- Developing bespoke proposals, budgets and pitches to provide the clients with optimal solutions for programmes, including adding strategic value to the accounts to expand the business
- Financial tracking of the accounts, ensuring overall profitability, and proactively monitoring growth and loss
- Seeking out new business opportunities both through in-depth client interactions with existing clients as well as expanding the company's overall client base
- Trouble shooting challenges and issues and sharing them with the wider client services team to aid learning and development

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Life Science Degree, preferably a higher degree
- Significant previous experience in a similar role in the medical education/communications industry combined with highly developed client handling skills
- Experience of line management and mentoring of more junior members of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to plan, organise and drive results
- Good financial understanding and experience with budgeting
- Team player
