Having published magazines and media for over 35 years, this company isfirmly established as the world's leading publisher of transport andspecialist leisure titles. They have an extensive portfolio of consumerand business-to-business print and digital magazines. They are lookingfor a Digital Publisher to take responsibility for product creation,content acquisition and development for new digital products in thefields of aviation, military history and transport. Working closely within-house and external content providers, this role will deliver productto targets to achieve their ambitious goals. As this area develops, theDigital Publisher will build a list of digital products ensuring thatthey address end user and market needs before launch. This is a new rolereporting to the Managing Director. The Role - Contracting/developingproducts to a pre-agreed revenue target per annum to ensure delivery ofthe plan - Working with editors to brainstorm ideas for products withintheir subject areas - Research and strategically target third partycontent providers for licensing opportunities - Contract negotiation andrelationship building with external partners - Managing market researchand writing business plans for product concepts - Once signed off,working with Production and Marketing Teams to schedule key deliverablesin the light of overall launch requirements - Participating in allphases of the product life cycle - Contribute to setting Minimum ViableProduct thresholds. - Managing digital-editorial roles working onindividual products - Keeping on top of and reporting back on competitoractivity to ensure we remain innovative Knowledge, skills and experience- 5+ years' experience in publishing, with a demonstrable record ofsuccessfully advancing digital products - Experience of signingpartnership deals to create products from licensed content - whetherfrom print or other media - Self-starter, focused on the competitivelandscape and who thrives on winning business and creating new products- Creative flair, drive, determination and commercial nous - Successfultrack record of working with partners/third party content providers -Able to work with stakeholders both within and outside the business -Demonstrable understanding of the value of the editorial process toproduct success - Track record of meeting targets and deadlines - Solidknowledge of emerging trends, in particular in relation to digitalproducts - Track record of working alongside digital development, salesand marketing teams to deliver the best products - Good interpersonaland negotiation skills If you are up to the challenge, please include acovering letter within your CV stating why you are the right candidatefor this role.
