An excellent opportunity has arisen for a PHP Developer to join an online marketing start-up based in Shoreditch, London. The company has achieved significant growth during its first 18 months and is looking to recruit a full stack programmer to help accelerate this by providing its customers and business partners with market-leading product and data.
The successful candidate will be excited by the prospect of working in a small, fast growing team and interacting daily with technical and non-technical colleagues – all while maintaining a focus on delivery against business objectives.
The PHP Developer will work on the company’s content management and MI systems, building and enhancing web apps that maximise performance, reliability and conversion impact.
The successful candidate will be heavily involved in new projects involving the development of a new data and reporting platform; integration of API feeds; web personalisation; analytics and more.
There will also be significant opportunity to enhance the features of the company’s existing consumer-facing web apps, working closely with the business to create a unique and rewarding experience for all visitors.
A reasonable level of front end experience is required, although please note that most front end development is currently outsourced. The front end component to this role is therefore intended to focus on integration of new front end code into our systems.
About you·Comfortable working with LEMP stack ·Recent practical experience of creating PHP applications from the ground up, with a strong knowledge of design patterns and MVC frameworks (Laravel/Symfony preferred) ·Comfortable designing and maintaining complex data structures·Solid understanding of SQL·Working knowledge of Git·Great at API Design & Development·PHPStorm/Intellij (Full stack IDE)·Experience in other programming languages·Stay up to date with current web trends and advancements·Excellent communication skills·Well organised, thoughtful and methodical approach to solution planning·Familiar with Agile-inspired processes·Able to simply articulate complex technical concepts·Motivated by using technology to drive business benefit·Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
