Infrastructure Engineers - Bath
Our Client, who are the UK's leading Data Driven Marketing experts based in the South West. The purpose of this contractor will be to deliver the IT services provided by our client to its internal and external customers and continuously drive improvements to processes, performance and uptime.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

·Delivering multiple work streams in line with Occam processes and procedures to tight deadlines whilst at all times remaining calm under pressure, with a high-quality output and the ability to multi task.

·Prioritise own day-to-day workload and escalate issues appropriately (i.e. a self-starter).

·Proactive monitoring, error logging, fault tracking and problem management to ensure optimum infrastructure performance.

·Carrying out periodic system checks (daily, weekly, monthly etc.)

·Upgrades, installs and patching – responding with an appropriate sense of urgency when equipment is faulty.

·Effective knowledge sharing through excellent documentation, training and one to one interactions with other teams.

·Adhere to, maintain and contribution to continual improvement of Occam processes and procedures as applicable to the role.

·Team player demonstrating a flexible but structured and logical approach to all tasks with a “can do” attitude.

·Excellent communication and customer service skills.

·Participation in the on-call rota with excellent time keeping


Essential requirements

×Experience of working in an ISO27001 compliant environment

×Endpoint protection management and configuration

×Security Hotfix/ Patch Management processes (i.e. Microsoft WSUS etc.)

×General security principles and best practices

×Experience working with SIEM toolsets, open source would be advantageous

×Web and Email filtering

·Microsoft

×Windows Server 2008R2 through to 2016

×Operating system imaging

×Active Directory design/ deployment/ management

×Group Policy design/ deployment

×Exchange Administration/ Management

×PowerShell scripting

·Networking

×Thorough understanding of DNS & TCP/IP and Cisco command sets

×Firewall configuration & management

×Fibre channel/ISCSI configuration

×Load balancing (F5)

×SDN experience (Cisco ACI) would be advantageous

·DR / BCP

×Disaster recovery solutions & business continuity planning and testing

×Backup/ Recovery

·Hardware commissioning, testing & troubleshooting

×Cisco UCS configuration, management and optimisation

×SAN configuration, management and optimisation (Pure Storage and Dell Storage would be advantageous)

·Virtualisation

×VMWare vSphere 6 install, configuration, management and optimisation

×HyperV install, configuration, management and optimisation

·Cloud Services

×Managing Office 365

×Managing AWS resources

·VoIP – ShoreTel would be advantageous
