ABOUT BURBERRY BUSINESS SERVICES



Burberry is opening a brand new Shared Service Centre - Burberry Business Services, based in Leeds at their stunning new premises in the heart of the City Centre. This Centre of Excellence will be an extension of their Head Office in London and house core functions; HR, Finance, Procurement, Customer Services and I.T. helpdesk.



JOB PURPOSE



The IT Manager - Networks is responsible for the implementation and operation of good practice Service Management within the Networks teams. IT Manager - Networks will be responsible for the management of the Burberry network provider and all aspects of its associated services. The IT Manager - Networks will also provide strategic and tactical guidance for technical network teams to ensure that production services are maintained in line with SLAs.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, direct and coordinate Network operations of the Infrastructure & Integration team, ensuring the provision of a single point of contact for the resolution of incidents and service requests, the continual monitoring of 'live' systems and the processing of all tickets related to incidents, service requests and problems
  • Collaborate with IT Service and technical and architecture teams to provide end-to-end support and resolution of all network related incidents within the Burberry environment
  • Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure network capacity meets existing and future requirements
  • Manage third parties to ensure that services are provided within agreed SLAs
  • Own supplier management for vendors within Networks (contract, reviews, SLAS and continuous improvement)
  • Ensure that tickets are addressed to agreed service levels through prioritisation, incident recording, recognition, isolation, resolution and follow up
  • Assist with the definition and development of a set of documented processes for Incident, Problem, Request and Knowledge Management to drive consistency and productivity of team members and suppliers
  • Monitor events that occur in production services and take appropriate actions to address the events
  • Manage and ensure the security and effectiveness of Burberry's Global network
  • Ensure all IT processes and procedures are followed accurately and periodically review and amend, when necessary, processes to improve efficiency
  • Support Regional and Global infrastructure projects as required
  • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analysis for proposed projects and high spend items




PERSONAL PROFILE
  • Expert knowledge of Network Operations
  • Strong commercial acumen on IT Contracts and negotiations
  • Expert in budget management
  • Good knowledge of network technologies and their application across WAN, LAN, Wireless, Voice, Network Security
  • Good understanding of network architecture design techniques, theories, principles and their application
  • Strong collaborative management style and interpersonal skills
  • Capable to manage several things at a time with effective prioritisation
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that IT services and products fulfil their needs
