Correvate Limited is a company spun out from UCL in 2017 who develop software for 3D technology. The focus of our software is to extract information from 3D data in an efficient and verified process to unlock it, thus, enabling better business decisions. Our first product, Vercator, is a software toolkit that allows the automatic registration of point cloud data and extraction of objects for the construction industry. Users of the product will include professionals, such as engineers, architects, and quantity surveyors.

We are building industry-leading software around data using the latest advances in computer vision, machine learning and cloud computing. The team maintains a high standard of code through automated testing, peer code reviews, a common code style. Location: Currently based in Kings Cross, London.

Rate: Circa £50,000 to £60,000, dependent on experience.

Role

We are looking for an outstanding Java Developer to develop/design software products with Machine Learning or Deep Learning research and development experience. In this role you'll decide the appropriate tech stack & methodologies to develop a variety of truly exceptional & innovative solutions.

You will work on the development of generic libraries to simplify the deployment of high performance software technology. The role will begin with algorithm development on a server and evolve into operation in the cloud involving machine learning and AI tasks. The successful Software Engineer will create highly scalable back-ends with a focus on efficient and iterative coding.

You will be working within a small, collaborative team that prides itself on bringing about novel ideas and techniques to achieve the objectives. Your work will be heavily focused on R&D / prototype planning for new systems.

Key Skills

·Solid Computer Science fundamentals (algorithms/data structure)

·5+ years commercial programming experience

·Experience in developing and using numerical methods and optimisation algorithms

·Writing automated software tests and writing testable code

·Strong core Java skills, with multi-threading experience

·Knowledge of machine learning techniques, artificial intelligence, predictive algorithms is desirable

·Research and/or development experience in working with large data sets, big data analysis, Cloud Infrastructure e.g. AWS, with Hadoop and/or Spark experience also required

·BSc, Masters or PhD degree from a top University with a min of a 2.1 in engineering, computer science, physics, maths or a related subject.
