Hudson James Capital Group are working in partnership with a global leader in Food Manufacturing. Our client are looking to appoint a driven and highly successfully Manufacturing Manager. You will be responsible for the operational and production function areas, producing added value products for a number of the nation’s leading major retailers. You will be working as part of the Senior Management team and will achieve and improve the attainment of all the Key Manufacturing Performance Indicators; this will apply from raw materials through to finished goods. You will be responsible for promoting continual improvement through cost controls and increasing the productivity through engaging with the workforce. You will be working closely with the General Manager to ensure that all procedures and systems that are in place are reviewed and maintained that maximises all available resources and also ensure that initiatives and activities designed to improve the Manufacturing Function.

You should have proven experience of delivering successful change management and performance improvement programmes in order for there to be continuous improvement through ensuring that the principles of lean manufacturing are understood and operated by the manufacturing team. You will be expected to influence people at all levels; therefore excellent communication skills are essential. You should promote working towards what is best for the company as a whole a head of the divisional goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all Health and Safety requirements are met through liaising with the Health and Safety Manager and Occupational Health Advisor.
  • Monitoring all KPI’s
  • You will be working with all teams in order to identify areas for action and ensure implementation of agreed initiatives.
  • You should ensure a consistent flow of accurate information through and all departments.
  • Utilise measures, principally material & labour variances and waste in order to identify areas for improvement and establish action plans to achieve agreed targets.

You should have an excellent understanding of FMCG Production Planning and techniques. You should have experience as a Factory Manager/Manufacturing Manager within the food manufacturing industry. It is essential that you have the ability to drive results in a fast paced environment, and have a proven track record of developing others and encouraging decision making and accountability.
