Job Summary

The purpose of the role is to monitor information security controls within Bupa by analysing daily reports for all security tools in line with information security policies and practices and dealing with any/all security incidents. Additionally, you will be involved and required to provide help and assistance to any and all security incident that may be identified working as part of a team to contain, mitigate and provide a resolution.



Key Responsibilities

Your role will be to provide Security Operations services to Bupa Global Services and its customers helping ensure that Bupa is protected from cyber threats and that incidents are effectively managed.



Information Security
  • Explain the purpose of and provide advice and guidance on the application and operation of physical, procedural and technical security controls.


Security Administration
  • Maintain security administration processes and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures


Incident Management
  • Prioritise and diagnose security incidents according to agreed procedures.


Analytics
  • Use SIEM and other security and operational tools to monitor and analyse the security posture of the IT estate and identify anomalous activity and behaviours.


Digital Forensics
  • Contribute to digital forensic investigations, assisting with forensic data capture and analysis. Allocate routine tasks and/or project work.
  • Provide direction, support and guidance as necessary, in line with individuals' skills and abilities. Monitors progress against agreed quality and performance criteria.




Essential Skills
  • Deep experience in at least one technology tower out of End User Computing, Hosting or Networks.
  • Is confident in their technical expertise and can present themselves as a technical authority.
  • Has a track record of technical delivery working within a fast paced & pressured environment.
  • Is able to take a pragmatic view of the application of technologies; understanding the business application of them and able to identify a balance between the management of risk and the capability for the business to continue to operate.
  • Experience of Security Monitoring tools.
  • Experience of Vulnerability Management and Threat Intelligence.
  • Knowledge of perimeter and host security intrusion techniques.
