Our client provides private banking, wealth management, SIPPs and financial planning to its customers. They are currently looking for an individual to support the Business Assurance – senior manager with the delivery of an effective risk assurance and monitoring function within the front office and in turn strengthen the 1st line defence of controls.

Key Responsibilities;

· Support the regular and accurate assessments of the risks identified on the Front Office Risk and Control Self- Assessment

· Support any remedial action required where, as part of the RCSA assessment, risk are identified as being outside of tolerance

· Support the reporting of findings following the RCSA assessments

· Support monitoring activity as defined by the monitoring program, specifically an assessment of the account opening process

· Facilitate the receipt and investigation of all complaints through to resolution, including liaising with the Financial Ombudsman Service as and when required

· Ensure that throughout all activities undertaken that customers are treated fairly and actively contribute to the effective management of conduct risk across all areas of the business

· Support the handling of queries relating to policy and procedures from the Front Office and in doing so act as the liaison between front office and 2nd Line of defence teams.

· Work with colleagues carrying out monitoring activity as defined by the monitoring program, specifically the quality of advice through a structured program of file checking

· Support the development of the front office processes in association with the Product and Proposition team

· Develop strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders across the business and any relevant third parties

Key Requirements-

  • QCF Level 4 Qualification
  • Detailed understanding of regulatory requirements as defined in the FCA Handbook, specifically COBs, MCOBs and DISP
  • Proven experience of working within a 1st line monitoring / risk based environment
  • Proven experience of working within a complain handling environment including dealing with the FOS
  • Demonstrable knowledge of suitability, risk profiles and KYC
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
