Job Overview:We have an immediate opening for a member of a growing team working on the Certara global network and services.This Systems Administrator role is intended as a resource to the Senior Systems Administrator and wider IT Operations service team for the Sheffield Certara office and European sites. This primarily involves working on new provisioning, implementation and integration of IT services and systems, and supporting the wider IT team in further development of our network, client machines and servers. As needed, there will also be elements of supporting the HelpDesk team in the day-to-day support of users, routine maintenance and escalations. The role requires close awareness of and liaison with the rest of the Certara global IT team, so good interpersonal skills are essential.

Requirements:Essential Experience working in a Microsoft-centric (Exchange, SharePoint, SQL, IIS, VMWare), network, and production business environment as part of a wider IT teamWorking knowledge of a broad range of current computer technologies and implementations – for example: hybrid O365 environments, SAN and NAS storage, SaaS/PaaS solutions.Experience of providing IT expertise to the design and implementation of strategic plans, corporate security and data protection policies and overall IT operations.Educated to degree level or equivalent Interest and willingness to develop and experience of many facets of network management and IT supportDesirableSpecific knowledge of any of the following technologies is an advantage: VMware/VSphere, Cisco ASA/switches/routers, EMC VNX/Unity, Sonicwall firewalls, O365, AWSWillingness to undertake occasional overseas travelKey responsibilities:Deliver a high-quality IT service, based on Certara standards for IT service delivery within negotiated project plans, SLAs and as dictated by business need accepting the nature of 24/7/365 IT systems.
Day to day support one or more Senior Systems Administrators in Simcyp and Certara strategic projects – this will include implementation, testing and documentation of these initiatives.
As needed - day to day management of user queries, hardware, software and other technical issues as well as end user education/training.
Develop and maintain system documentation on end-user systems configurations and operation as well maintain metrics on consistency and reliability of the end-user environment.
Works under general supervision of one or more senior systems administrators.
