Predictive Modelling Specialist

Job Description: As a Predictive Modelling Specialist, you will use your in depth knowledge and expertise to provide advice, support and challenge on the setting and implementation of risk appetite, policies, processes & systems across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies and plans to achieve business objectives
  • Work with stakeholders to embed risk knowledge and adherence
  • Produce options and recommendations that support strategic, usually complex decision making
  • Provide expert technical modelling capability to maintain and develop the suite of capital and other models (including credit scorecards, affordability models, fraud identification and behavioural analysis of liquidity drivers)
  • Design, build, document and enhance new and existing models
  • Analyse and recommend proposals to vary approaches that align with the maturity and risk profile of the portfolio

Key Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level (minimum 2:1) in a numerate discipline.
  • Extensive capital modelling experience, ideally in retail banking and with knowledge of retail banking products.
  • Expert statistical modelling skills for IRB portfolios, scorecards or provisioning and forecasting (and in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word) are essential.
  • Experience presenting to a senior / executive audience and in Board & committee reporting.
  • Experience of working in a team, across geographical boundaries.
  • Experience of managing project input and delivery is required.
