Job Overview

To achieve regional sales targets and market share by implementing corporate sales and marketing strategy through the management of allocated human and financial resources.
To develop and be fully responsible for the implementation of the integrated regional business plan.
Successfully manage a team of Vaccine Account Managers responsible for vaccine sales, advocacy development and stakeholder networking.


- To successfully manage a team of Vaccine Account Managers.
- To work with and integrate the telesales capability of our outsourced provider (Ashfield Vaccine Account Executives) to maximise regional sales.
- To implement and monitor adherence to the Regional business plan, including CSP profiling.
- To convert strategic plans into sales tactics in order to achieve regional business objectives.
- To gather and analyse relevant information to manage individual and regional performances (sales, activity and budget).
- To provide accurate and timely responses to all departments in line with standard operating procedures (SOP's) and in order that any necessary action may be taken.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably with a science background
- 5+ years sales experience in healthcare / pharmaceutical / biotech industry, combined with ideally 3 years' experience in a sales management.
- ABPI qualified with a detailed understanding of ABPI Code of Practice and its practical application in a business environment
- Experience of successfully leading a sales team to achieve business targets
- Ideally possesses excellent vaccines knowledge including competitor knowledge
- Key Account Management skills - demonstrate the ability to understand the systems and processes and resources available internally and bring in the right expertise at the right time to drive commercial sales success locally
- Working knowledge of the NHS environment and strategy in particular, local decision-making processes and funding flows and its impact on the vaccines business
- Excellent, demonstrable influencing and communication skills that builds effective customer relationships and creates local, broad advocacy for Sanofi
- Strong team player with the ability to effectively manage team members to achieve their role objectives by engaging in strong performance management processes
- Able to successfully work independently and take individual accountability for actions and results
- Proven commercial acumen, driven by clear insight & understanding of the business market dynamics and the ability to recognise and address urgent issues
- Good level of organisational and analytical skills

Terms of Employment

Start Date 2nd January 2018.
Working hours are 36.25 per week.
Travel requirements - Conducting field visits across the whole region and travel to business meetings.
Managing a team of 7 Vaccine account managers

This role is based in the South East of the country covering London, Kent, Sussex and Surrey.
