It’s an exciting time to join the company as demand for lithium based products is growing, especially in the expanding electrical vehicle market. Bromborough site will play a key part in supporting that growth.
Your new role
As Financial Controller you will be responsible for providing detailed financial analysis to support the site and divisional leadership teams. You will lead the management of the Finance and Information Technology departments on site ensuring that they are delivering a service that meets the needs of the business and complies with regulatory and internal company policies.
You will be a member of the senior management team on the site and will advise on strategic initiatives aimed at meeting future operational demands. You’ll also be a key business partner to the Plant Manager and senior operations managers. A key part of your role will be to report on, evaluate and improve the financial performance of the plant.
You’ll lead all budget and forecasting activity and will report monthly and quarterly to both the local management team and the group finance team in the USA. You’ll report on the site financial and operational controls, capital projects and inventory. At year end you will coordinate and liaise with the auditors.
What you’ll need to succeed
As a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) you’ll have significant experience of working within the manufacturing sector in a plant or factory environment.
You’ll enjoy partnering with operational staff and your expertise in analysing plant efficiencies, yields, waste etc. will be essential.
The business uses SAP and this is highly desirable, although it is essential that you have a high degree of Excel skills.
Due to the international nature of the business, experience in Transfer Pricing and Intercompany trading would be an advantage.
