The firm mainly takes part in:

  • Business consulting: Quantitative research, Risk management (e.g. Market risk, credit risk, counterparty risk), Banking regulations (e.g. Basel III, Solvency II, FATCA, EMIR, MiFID), Pricing & Valuation, Organisational Transformation & Process Improvement.
  • IT & Information systems consulting: Business Analysis, Project Management, Change management, Front Office Support (functional and technical), Development (e.g C++, Python, C#, Java, VBA), Financial Softwares (e.g. Sophis, Murex, Summit, Calypso), IT Transformation & Innovation.
As part of Quanteam Group, Quanteam UK (incorporated in 2010) has today more than 60 consultants, working for major Capital Markets players in London.


Part of a major French Investment Bank based in Central London, the Business Data Intelligence (BDI) team - sitting in the Risk department - is responsible for providing relevant data to the risk systems. These systems are a source of several risk figures, such as VaR, counterparty exposures, stress test, and regulatory limits.

As part of the scope, the team is responsible for the development of the market and counterparty risk systems as well as associated credit tools.

This strategic activity involves analysis and liaison with other teams within the bank to efficiently drive the enhancements and developments of the systems.

In order to enhance the team, BDI is currently looking to on-board a strong Python Software Engineer, with an excellent background in Object Oriented Programming. The successful candidate will have the chance to take part in several internal backend development projects currently managed by BDI, offering a strong exposure to various stakeholders in the Bank (Front Office, Risk Management, Quantitative Research, IT).

In order to keep improving the performance of the team and reinforcing its Python expertise, the candidate will have to have a strong knowledge of Algorithms design, as well as Data structuring.

The frameworks used by the team are:

  • FLASK for the Web Development aspects
  • NUMPY for Numbers crunching
  • An In-House development Framework for the backend aspects

Essential experience/skills

  • Strong knowledge of Python as an OOP language
  • Strong ability to design algorithms
  • Very good understanding of Data Structures
  • Advanced SQL
