Role overview

Emotive Require an experienced developer to work across a range of new and existing projects, The ideal candidate will be highly experienced using the WordPress platform and PHP language. They will have a desire to develop their frontend skills utilising modern JavaScript frameworks and design methodologies across both web and mobile application development.

Role responsibilities

  • Development of green field projects and updates to existing WP applications
  • Collaborating closely with co developers and project stakeholders to deliver projects within project deadlines
  • To participate in planning and production scrums with project team members
  • Working closely with the quality assurance team to deliver high quality content

Core technical skills

  • Extensive experience of the WordPress ecosystem
  • Development fundamentals including, node.js, gulp, sass and git
  • Strong responsive web layout skills
  • Cross browser development strategies
  • Object orientated JavaScript including the ECMA6 language
  • Scrum, sprint and feature based development experience

Desirable skills

  • Veeva JS application framework
  • Cordova hybrid app experience (IOS/Android)
  • Learn Dash e-learning WP plugin
  • React Native
  • Angular JS

Fundamental personal attributes

  • Strong attention to detail
  • To be able to clearly communicate ideas when interacting with development and non-technical team members
  • The production of high quality concise smoke tested code
  • Ability to work to planned deadlines and delivery schedules
