Role overview

Emotive Require a driven JavaScript developer to work across a diverse range of new and existing projects including web, mobile applications and onsite instillations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in current development trends and frameworks; have exceptional attention to detail and experience delivering work across the entire project lifecycle.

Role responsibilities

  • Development of green field projects and updates to existing applications
  • Working closely and coordinating with client services throughout project development
  • Collaborating closely with designers to optimise designer/developer workflows
  • Participate in project scrums with project team members
  • Technical innovation including the introduction of new ideas and novel solutions to technical briefs
  • Working closely with the quality assurance team to deliver high quality output
  • Mentoring and delegating to junior developers

Core technical skills

  • Object orientated JavaScript (ECMA5/6)
  • An understanding of pattern based (MVC) application design
  • Strong responsive web layout skills
  • Development fundamentals including, node.js, gulp, sass, git
  • Cross browser development strategies
  • Angular JS
  • Sails JS
  • Cordova hybrid app experience (IOS/Android)
  • Scrum, sprint and feature based development experience

Desired Skills

  • Xcode publishing and application signing advantages
  • Veeva application framework
  • Contentful (CMS)
  • React Native
  • Mongo DB
  • Webpack or other module focused frameworks

Fundamental personal attributes

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills when interacting with development and non-technical team members
  • The production of high quality concise smoke tested code
  • To be able provide accurate estimations when planning modules of work
  • Ability to work within deadlines and delivery schedules
