The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for QA testing as part of a team. You will also be responsible for improving the processes used by the QA team. This position will be working in an environment where cross skilling is essential, and quality is the responsibility of everyone within the organisation.

ResponsibilitiesSuggest processes and workflows for the QA teamSuggest tools to improve efficiency and quality Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedbackCreate detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test casesEstimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activitiesDesign, develop and execute automation scriptsIdentify, record, document thoroughly and track bugsPerform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolvedDevelop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needsLiaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirementsStay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategiesKnowledge & Experience RequirementsProven work experience in software quality assuranceStrong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processesExperience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test casesHands-on experience with both white box and black box testingHands-on experience with automated testing toolsExperience working in an Agile/Scrum development processFamiliarity with Content Management SystemsUnderstanding of programming for the web and basic web securityBeneficial Knowledge & ExperienceProven work experience in software developmentExperience with performance and/or security testing is a plusSome exposure to JavaScript, HTML, CSS and PHP for basic debugging would be advantageousPrevious Agency experience in a testing role would be advantageousExperience of MySQL (or similar SQL language)Experience in QA tools such as:Tag UIGhost inspectorTest RailPhatomJSSeleniumBlazemeterjMeterAcunetixKey AttributesA self-motivated individual with the ability to multitaskAn outgoing, positive thinker, with consistent levels of evident enthusiasmFlexible, versatile and copes well under pressureOpen, honest and direct, is comfortable in giving and receiving constructive feedbackHas high personal standards and promotes them in othersDemonstrates a great attention to detail and a methodical approach to workGreat communication skills with the ability to discuss difficult situations with easeA valued team player, who upholds Jellyfish values and professional integrity at all timesThe BenefitsCompany profit related bonus schemePrivate healthcare planRide-to-work cycle purchase schemeCompany stakeholder pension planAn excellent working environmentOpportunity for career progression in a growing teamOngoing training, with the opportunity to develop high quality skills in digital marketingLife Assurance policy
