We're looking for an exceptional senior level communications professional on a 6 month fixed term contract basis to join an award winning Cambridge based membership organisation that boasts a rich history, global status, and unsurpassed reputation within its specific sector.
Working in close partnership with a wide range of internal teams and stake-holders, the head of communications will be responsible for delivering a programme of planned activity designed to strengthen the organisation's relationship with its target audience and wider community. As a key player in the ongoing development and success of the entire marketing function, you will be leading a sizeable team that will include internal and external comms, news and media professionals, public engagement, etc. ensuring that products, services and benefits are effectively being promoted to relevant audiences.
This role would suit a high calibre senior level communications professional with a strong track record of developing and implementing a high performing communications function, preferably in a large and/or international organisation. Your experience will need to include effective crises management communications, expert knowledge of using the broadest range of communications channels and tactics, strong strategic planning and analysis skills in news, media, and digital communications and business planning. It's also important that you are comfortable when leading, managing and developing a multi-functional team.
