Job Overview

The Key Account Manager is a predominately customer facing role that is accountable for sales performance and profitability of the Sanofi portfolio across all Sanofi business units (either directly or indirectly), through the development and delivery of Joint Business plans (JBP), over the short, medium and long term, across medium-to-large key retail accounts. This role is responsible for 'sell-in' and jointly responsible (with the BU concerned) for the 'sell-out' success measures.

The Key Account Manager will also have responsibility for planning, coordinating and delivering activities with internal stakeholders

Responsibilities

Lead on partnership opportunities and commercial connections Develop and agree implementation of Business Plans for the assigned customer portfolio Optimise Resource Planning and Management

Requirements & Qualifications

Critical:

- Demonstrable experience in delivering commercial results through business to business partnerships and negotiation
- Proven commercial and business acumen as demonstrated, by the ability to accurately assess and convey factual market intelligence to shape plans and targets
- Demonstrated ability to influence relationships and leverage knowledge at all levels across a matrix structure, in line with the agreed joint business plan
- Detailed knowledge of market, product supply routes and the associated financial structures and reimbursement
- Understanding of ABPI Code of Practice and all corporate policies and their practical application
- Ability to rapidly and accurately assess and communicate business opportunities and capitalise upon them
- Ability to accurately forecast sales results based on a robust environmental understanding and positive attitude to the achievement of business goals.
- Highly analytical
- Highly IT competent

Desirable:

- Demonstrated project management skills
- Demonstrated innovation and courage in commercial proposals.
- Fully conversant with meeting both in-market and in-house performance metrics.
- Comprehension and experience of managing P&L.
- Demonstrated strength in designing, communicating and delivering easily adoptable account plans.
- Ability to anticipate change and demonstrate appropriate responsiveness.
- High level emotional intelligence and business integrity
- Ideally needs to have had first line sales management

Terms of Employment

- Travel across the UK required, varying between 1 and 5 days a week, and including routine travel to the Sanofi Guildford Office
- Target start date: January 2017
- Working hours: 36.25 hours per week, normally Monday to Friday
- Field-based role

Location Information

As this is a field based role, a home location in the central England area would be perfect in order to be within easy access of majority of the customer base
