PSD has been assigned to appoint a technically strong Senior IT Risk Consultant for a large consultancy practice, to deliver high quality advisory engagements to a range of Financial Services and other industry clients.

The successful appointee will be required to:

  • Lead a portfolio of external audit clients where you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, client liaison and technical issue management
  • Act as a key contact throughout the year for your clients who range from FTSE listed businesses to owner-managed businesses in the infancy of their life cycle
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients of the firm, as well as the alumni network, understanding opportunities to assist with their issues
  • Report directly to the Assurance Partner and Director, as well as having a number of direct team members report to you
  • Coach and develop team members reporting directly into you, taking responsibility for the career development of others
  • Assist with managing the staffing of the job, the financial performance and ensuring that key deadlines are met
  • Identify business development activities such as building relationships with target clients or taking an active involvement in pitch situations
  • Build strong relationships with other specialist teams to ensure a full service offering can be provided to your clients
  • Actively take part in office-wide initiatives and teams, contributing to a strong overall team morale and impact

Person

  • ACA or similarly qualified
  • Experience of managing the audit from planning to supervision / review of the process
  • Flexibility in approach to meeting different goals as part of the team
  • Ability to communicate clearly, showing flexibility in style with different colleagues and clients at all levels
  • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and delivering client solutions
  • Experience of interacting with senior level clients and management to develop and maintain business relationships
  • Experience of IFRS, UK GAAP (including FRS 101/102) and international standards on auditing
  • Proven track record in Business Development and strengthening your position in a competitive external market
  • Ability to successfully support, nurture and motivate different team members
  • Experience in leading large and diverse teams

Remuneration: up to £60,000 plus attractive benefits package
