An opportunity to focus on client's VAT affairs. Assisting in the management of a portfolio of clients, preparing VAT returns, responding to queries and liaising with clients on VAT compliance issues.

Client Details

My clients are a leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services to middle market leaders, globally. The firm has around 3,500 partners and staff in the UK and access to more than 41,400 people in over 120 countries across their network.


-Providing assistance and guidance to internal teams regarding the preparation of client VAT returns, ensuring information is correct and submitted to HM Revenue & Customs on or before the due date

 -Assisting with clients and third party relationships, responding quickly to client's needs, keeping informed and in touch

 -Liaising with clients on VAT compliance issues and ensuring that deadlines are met

 -Effective liaison with internal clients

 -Dealing with HM Revenue & Customs enquiries by letter

 -Assisting VAT team with WIP management and billing

 -Increase the VAT offering to existing service line e.g. Corporate Finance I Risk & Recovery


-Experience dealing with HMRC enquiries, correspondences, assessments and penalties

 -One years' experience in a VAT role within a professional services firm

 -CTA qualification

 -Good standard of written and verbal communication

 -Good inter-personal skills with clients and team members

 -Experience with clients from the Not-For-Profit sector, OMBs and corporates

 -A flexible approach to working in the offices and client locations throughout Yorkshire and the North East.
