Due to continued growth, a Clinical Negligence Solicitor is required for an excellent opportunity based in the heart of Manchester’s city centre.

The role

My client is an industry-leading, Top 30 law firm, which has locations spread out all over the UK. This opportunity will involve working within the company’s Clinical Negligence team in Manchester. This department is a national practice, which has an excellent reputation in the health sector.

As a Manchester-based clinical negligence solicitor, you will manage a full mixed caseload of litigated clinical-negligence files through to conclusion. Your main duties will include:

  • Drafting reports
  • Interviewing witnesses
  • Drafting witness statements
  • Instructing experts
  • Instructing counsel
  • Attend Court for Case Management Conferences and Application Hearings
  • Negotiate settlements
  • Hold conferences with Counsel
  • Prepare for and attend trials and mediations
  • Assist colleagues in the running of higher value claims
  • Draft articles for clients
  • Cover free advice clinics
  • Give client training and presentations
  • Supervising and coaching junior members of the team
