Social Media Account Director, London - Up to £60,000 (Healthcare Communications)

A leading Healthcare agency is on the lookout for a Social Media Account Director to join the team, the agency work across healthcare on comms, brand, pharma and training campaigns with a digital focus. The sector is seeing a large increase in social media usage and as such the agency is on the lookout for a strategic AD to join the team.

The role will sit across multiple clients, you will work closely with the account teams helping them pitch and develop social media strategy to clients, this will involve getting to understand the clients business and how social media can be utilised to help them achieve their business aims, this could involve brand building, disease awareness or training amongst others so the role will allow the AD to work on a wide selection of projects. You will be the go-to within the agency for all things social, over time creating and building sustainable revenue via social media accounts, helping the agency stay up to date with emerging trends and platforms and helping clients understand how they can be used. You will manage the delivery of projects making sure campaigns are delivered efficiently, most of the agency’s work is created in-house, however for more creative projects outside sources may be involved.

Candidates will need an agency background and the ability to work on multiple projects, experience working with clients to create high-quality social media strategy is a must-have. As a healthcare agency, it will be important that candidates have knowledge of healthcare codes of practice including ABPI, ABHI and PAGB.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and develop high-quality social strategy, paid and organic across multiple platforms
  • Work closely with clients to understand business aims
  • Be the go-to for all things social with the agency
  • Help the client services team understand how social can benefit their clients
  • Build and develop social focussed revenue within accounts
  • Build and maintain client relations
  • Develop new client relations
  • Analyse and feedback to clients
  • Solid understanding of regulatory codes
  • Pitching, proposals, and presentation
  • Create joined up strategy with digital, PR and events teams

Requirements include:

  • Social media strategy experience
  • Experience working with healthcare / pharma brands
  • Knowledge of healthcare codes of practice
  • Paid, organic, multi-platform social media experience
  • Ability to build and lead a team
  • Confidence to bring new ideas to the table, increasing agency performance and efficiency
  • Entrepreneurial, strategic approach
