Data Protection Analyst (3 month contract -immediate start)
Our client, a leading local employer, seeks an expert in Data Protection to cover work absence. Duties will include;
• Provide specialist advice on information management issues including the Data Protection Act 1998 (GDPR from May 2018), the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 and records management on behalf of the university and its subsidiary companies.
• Set, monitor and implement policy in accordance with national and sectoral best practice in the information management area, using sound analytical skills and a pragmatic approach.
• Co-ordinate, respond to and audit requests for information made under the Data Protection Act 1998, the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004, whilst adhering to statutory deadlines.
• Maintain the information management webpages of the relevant websites.
You should have good understanding of legal principles relating to Information Law and particularly the above regulations and be available for immediate start.
