My client is a big four consultancy currently searching for a Technology Risk consultant to join their growing team based in Cambridge or St Albans. The principle areas of work covered by this team are:

  • IT External Audit
  • Service Auditor Reporting
  • IT Internal Audit
  • IT Risk Management
  • Project Risk Management
  • ERP controls (SAP and Oracle)
  • IT Governance
  • Digital Risk Management

Responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant in Technology Risk & Controls you have responsibility for:

  • Working with the team leads to develop & implement existing & new market propositions across a number of industry sectors.
  • Contribute to thought leadership in Technology Risk & Controls
  • Delivering a portfolio of large & complex technology engagements across our business, leading and supporting junior resources.
  • Providing Risk Advisory/Consulting services to Top Tier clients
  • Building and developing long terms relationships with senior stakeholders across our client organisations
  • Act as a role model - help to develop and mentor junior resources
  • To have a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; have a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture

Qualification Requirements

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Practical experience of working in Technology Risk, Controls & Analytics within a professional services firm or FTSE 350
  • Experience of developing junior staff and mentoring team members
  • Experience of managing large, complex technology, internal audit or risk management programmes for global organisations
  • Be able to demonstrate a track record in strengthening existing & developing new client relationships
  • Experience of working on large scale projects within the corporate sector
  • Ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, challenge the status quo and deliver effectively with what can often be ambiguous requirements
  • Experience of building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Combination of being qualified or part-qualified in one or more of the following: ACCA/ACA/CISA/CISSP/ITIL/Prince2 or equivalent
  • Strong technical abilities in audit methodologies, combined with strong business acumen
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills proven through extensive report/proposal writing experience
  • Strong academics, including a minimum of 2.1 degree or equivalent
  • A good understanding of IT risk and controls
