We are now looking for an enthusiastic IT professional with experience in SQL database systems to join our Enterprise Applications business unit. An ideal opportunity for a recent graduate to develop and grow their skill set and become a database professional and also a Microsoft Dynamics NAV developer.

The Role

Reporting to the Team Manager, the key responsibilities/accountabilities for the role will be as follows:

Client Support
o Support clients at all levels both remotely and face to face.

o Resolution of support incidents in a timely manner and to the client’s satisfaction

Project Delivery
o Follow established implementation standards including procedures for reporting and documentation to keep management, Clients and others informed of support incidents and related issues.

o Contribute to the development and maintenance of thorough technical and project documentation.

o Develop the plans and direct testing for quality assurance.

o Develop and test modifications in accordance with established standards.

o Communicate all project related work including technical issues, design changes and scope changes to the project manager.

Professional Development
o Stay current on product releases and new technologies related to your field of expertise.

o Develop personal skills to efficiently and effectively work individually and as a member of the team.

o Participate in company sponsored training to further develop your technical skills

Background, Experience and Skills

The Ideal candidate will have/be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

Minimum requirement of a 2:1 in computing or numerate subject with demonstrable experience of data management / analysis, some specialism in a data or information literate topic is preferred.
SQL Database Administration

System Configuration
o Demonstrates mastery in SQL configuration tools;

Language Skills
o Ability to read, analyse, and interpret, professional journals, technical procedures. Ability to write reports, procedure manuals using appropriate language. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, prospects and clients.

Reasoning
o The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardisation exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Package and Logistics

Package dependent on experience
Spacious offices in Manchester (4 miles from the City Centre) with an onsite gym and restaurant + more!
22 days’ annual leave (not including bank holidays)
Working 37.5 hours per week, between 8.30am – 6.00pm, Monday to Friday
