An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Web Developer to join a market-leading organisation, based from their Leeds head office. The Lead Web Developer will play a crucial role in the Agile development of brand new software, as well as building new capabilities within existing software, to better support business objectives and improve customer interaction. Working within an Agile delivery team, the Lead Web Developer will be responsible for hands-on development, as well making key technical decisions, liaising with various internal stakeholders, and coaching other members of the development team. Working for a technology-focused organisation, the Lead Web Developer will also be expected to keep up to date with the latest technologies, and encouraging the use of best practices across the team.

Key Requirements:

Significant hands-on experience developing web applications; experience of mobile development would also be beneficial
Experience working within an Agile development environment, utilising practices such as continuous integration, test-driven development, etc.
Experience developing with industry standard open source technologies, e.g. PHP, Ruby, React, Python, Node, Angular, MySQL, etc.
Experience with LAMP or similar technology stacks, e.g. LEMP, WAMP, LAPP, etc.
Strong communication skills, able to lead and work closely with technical and non-technical colleagues alike
