An exciting opportunity for an entry level medic to join a specialty pharmaceutical company with headquarters in the UK as one of their UK & Ireland Medical Advisors. Office based, West London.

Good opportunity for a GMC registered medic looking for their first medical affairs role.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Be the medical expert for an exciting Lymph Node mapping agent and the medical lead within the brand team inputting into the strategy for the brand

Support the UK & Ireland Medical Director in carrying out the day to day operational activities of the Medical Department.

Review and sign-off of promotional and non-promotional material to ensure compliance with the Codes of Practice

Leverage clinical/scientific data to optimise the delivery of UK&IE integrated brand plans.

Act as the primary "data expert" for the therapy area

Understand current and future positioning aims for the brand and identifies scientific activities that support the achievement of those aims.

Identify and communicate new published data as appropriate

Provide input to Global projects as agreed from time to time on a defined basis.

Work to ensure compliance in all UK's procedures including GxP, Codes of Practice and medicines legislation.

Develop relationships with Key opinion leaders, patient organisations and professional groups

Understand concepts of pharmacovigilance (PV)

Responsible for medical training of staff

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Medically qualified and holding full GMC registration with license to practice with more than 4 years clinical experience and experience beyond clinical medicine preferred

Membership/ Fellowship qualification desirable but not essential

Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred - Ideally in Oncology, including customer-facing experience

Experience of ABPI/ review of promotional and non-promotional activities and materials, desirable but not essential
