THE JOB Are you a Senior Project Manager who thrives on delivering change forthe digital age? Ticketmaster are undertaking a number of change initiatives. Weredelivering new technology, new products and helping the business workmore efficiently. We are looking for an Experienced Senior Project Manager to join ourteam to take the lead on multiple software projects as part of a widerstrategic change programme. You will be experienced using both Agile and Waterfall frameworks.Youll have the leadership ability and gravitas to inspire and driveteams. Youll be obsessed with achieving goals and will use yourplanning, risk and dependency management skills to ensure projects aresuccessful. You will recognise the power of self-organising softwaredevelopment teams, but you will understand that they need coaching andsupport to achieve the project ambitions. You will be able to takeexisting programme and PMO guidelines and apply them to your project,ensuring the needs of the project remain aligned with the needs of thebusiness. Above all, you will be an excellent communicator able tokeep stakeholders engaged and informed at every step in the project. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING General Coaching teams in Agile and Lean principles, and ensuringdeliverables are delivered that meet stakeholder expectations, on timeand to quality. Creative problem-solver, exhibiting common sense, analyticalreasoning skills and taking ownership of issues or impediments to thepoint of resolution. Reliable decision maker with the ability to make informed decisionsbased upon analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment; offersappropriate solutions and suggestions. A self-starter with the ability to quickly understand thecomplexities of technology against the business need in order to findthe best solution against the constraints of time, cost and quality. Delivery focused where the delivery of value and practical leanprocesses to the business is the predominant driver. Leadership Ability to work well with, command and motivate cross-functionaldistributed project teams in various International offices, acrossmultiple languages, currencies and locations. Solid, assertive, motivational leader able to guide a team intoreaching common goals. Communication Fluent in English and the ability to demonstrate excellent verbal,written, presentation and meeting facilitation skills to ensure a clearunambiguous message is consistently delivered. Inspires confidence in others that the project is under control. Seeks clarity to ensure their understanding is clear and unambiguous. Ability to spot incomplete understanding amongst team members orproject stakeholders and to ensure work does not get missed through poor communication. Stakeholder Management Ability to formally analyse and understand individual stakeholderneeds and build excellent working relationships with internalstakeholders and external vendors all to ensure projects are understoodand appropriate business engagement is in place throughout the project lifecycle. Ability to complete and maintain good communication plans for everyindividual project or release they manage in accordance with prescribed guidelines. Good rapport builder with the ability to quickly gain the confidenceof colleagues and stakeholders. Planning Facilitates discovery, specification, sizing and planning activitiesusing prescribed methods within Agile and Waterfall environments and the SDLC Proven ability in the management of development and release scheduleswith all associated processes around maintenance and publication ofowned Schedules. Consistently follows SDLC guidelines using appropriate ceremonies anddocumentation as appropriate for the project. Maintains a clear understanding and ownership of project dependenciesensuring they are managed to resolution. Continuous Improvement A demonstrably high level of commitment to continuous improvement ofself, process and business efficiency. Actively involved with the maintenance, development and maturation ofPMO and associated processes and documentation to include the Scrumframework and SDLC Actively participates in the development of a self managing crossfunctional team where every member of a project or release believes thatthey are all in this together Methodologies A good understanding of the Agile and Lean frameworks, ensuring thatthe prescribed processes are understood and being adhered to across thewhole project team. Adhering to a Systems Development Lifecycle from discovery toimplementation ensuring that agreed documentation and processes are followed. Negotiation Skills The ability to negotiate for competing resources or time and togenerate consensus among multiple priorities. The ability to identify win-win outcomes for all parties in order tomaintain the momentum of a project or release. Risk Management A professional understanding of the principles of riskidentification, classification and management. A clear ability to tactically and strategically manage project /release risks to the point of agreed resolution. Change Management A solid understanding of Change management principles and thecollation and presentation of impact analysis with appropriate recommendations. An understanding of the psychology of change in large organisations,process development and embedding new processes to ensure maximum buy-infrom all stakeholders. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS) Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing) Experience of managing the integration of complex systems into thebusiness environment. Qualified in a recognised PM methodology (PMI, Scrum, LESS, SAFEetc). Track record in working with legal, business and technology teams todefine, develop, test and successfully deliver systems, processes andtechnical solutions. Proven project management skills and in-depth understanding of thediscipline and associated planning and control tools and artefacts. A solid knowledge of the principles of project risk management andcontrol. Advanced knowledge of the competitive landscape for consumerentertainment businesses and web sites. Comprehensive understanding of the latest trends in the onlineindustry. Desired Experience: You will have demonstrable experience of leading projects and teamsusing one or more agile frameworks. You will be quick to identify problems and challenges in the businessand take a structured approach problem solving. You will appreciate the importance of traditional project managementtechniques in a digital world and be comfortable applying differentmethodologies to solve different problems as the need arises. You will be self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision,while able to provide accountability of progress through regularreporting and communication. You will have the interpersonal skills necessary to coach and leadself-organising teams, whilst effectively and communicating with clientsand individuals at all levels of the organisation You will be passionate about continuous improvement and the benefitsthat formal improvement techniques can bring to the organisation.
