Apprentice in Tackling Inactivity Project BLUA56454

Fixed Term Contract to August 2019

National Minimum Wage

Our Client is a Further Education College offering a wide range of courses to over 5000 full time students and over 5650 part time students each year. The college currently works with over 50 high school partners, welcoming students from Bury and the surrounding areas.

They now have an exciting opportunity for a Tackling Inactivity Project Apprentice, where you will support the Project Co-ordinator to design, develop and deliver sporting activities which reduces the percentage of college students who are physically inactive.

Promoting an increase in the range and frequency of sports opportunities available to all students, you will deliver a programme of sporting activities which are attractive and accessible. Gathering relevant intelligence to understand the sports needs of students, you will help maintain effective partnerships with National Governing Bodies of sport and other local partners.

They are looking for someone who has a good general standard of education, including Maths and English Grade A* - C (or equivalent) or Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy. With a Level 2 or equivalent in a sport related qualification you will have work experience in any area, and the ability to motivate students to participate in sport.

The successful applicant will be required to work towards a Level 2 Business Administration qualification so a desire to complete this is essential.

As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a pre-selection training course on Thursday 23 November 2017. Further details to follow.
