The Role: First and foremost you'll be comfortable building Java-basedapplication-level components from the ground up and possess a strongknowledge of Java/J2EE and associated technologies. You'll need to havepreviously built APIs using either REST or Json, worked on ServiceOrientated Architectures and coded extensively in Java 8 or 7. Your predominant on-project focus will lie with coding. Following Agilemethods including TDD and BDD you'll pick up user stories from theproduct backlog, take part in daily stand-ups and produce thoroughlytested, deployable Java code, at times guiding other Java Consultants todo the same. The projects you work on will be Cloud-based with J2EE components builtas Microservices and deployed to a Cloud platform. Much of their work isfocused on the creation of APIs in Java 8 using Rest or Json, theytypically use containers and NoSQL databases depending on the project. Stacks are determined on a project-by-project basis and with internaldiscussions constantly driving adoption of the right tech for the righttask, this is something you'll make a key contribution to.
