Reporting jointly to the Finance Managers, the Management Accountants jobs have been newly created to strengthen the finance team by enabling the production of timely and accurate financial and operational performance information. To support the business by working with non-financial managers within the organisation, helping them understand performance and improvement opportunities.
The jobs key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
·Assist Finance Manager’s in all tasks as appropriate
·Ensure accurate reporting of results
·Margin analysis by contract, programme, framework, standard, area
·Prepare KPIs, dashboards and reporting packs
·Prepare presentations to communicate financial performance
·Data manipulation and interrogation
·Month end journals and first cut P&L preparation
·Investigation of variances and performance trends
·Assist in the preparation of accurate and realistic monthly forecasts and budgets
As an experienced Management Accountant, you will provide accurate and timely performance data and information, ensuring KPIs and reporting packs are available on time for the Operational Management and the Finance Managers to use. You will assist in ensuring that the performance against budgets and contracts is fully understood, and provide forecasts that are both accurate and demonstrate a reliable view of future performance.
You will be a Part Qualified Accountant – working towards the latter stages of a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CIPFA) with at least 3 years’ experience in a finance role. You will have proven management accounts preparation experience and the natural desire to look at ways to continually improve existing finance processes, learning and developing as you become a fully qualified accountant.You will be recognised as providing an excellent service by internal customers, be financially astute and have the drive to progress and succeed.
