KS2 Teaching Assistant- Maths Specialist (Maths Interventions and in class support)

The successful candidate will work in the classroom, supporting class teachers during morning sessions and then going on to run tailored support sessions during the afternoon. You will plan alongside the KS2 class teachers and as your confidence builds you will be given the freedom to plan your own fun and engaging maths sessions. This KS2 Maths Assistant position involves supporting the individual needs of the pupils in class whilst personalising their learning through adapting lesson planning and activities in order to plug gaps in areas such as problem solving/reasoning.

To be considered for this role you will need to be an inspiring graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree and a keen interest in maths. You will be passionate about education and have some previous experience of working with young people but not necessarily within a school setting. The school are looking for graduates with the drive to assess and meet the social and academic needs of groups of children. The ideal candidate for this KS2 Maths Teaching Assistant role should be passionate about maths and be able to inspire and engage the pupils they teach.
