Client Accountant - Real Estate. Our Client are award winning Property Consultants operating in a highly competitive skills-driven market across UK, Europe and US. Due to increased client work, they now instructed us to find a Client Accountant to join their diverse and talented Property Management Finance team. The successful Candidate will work alongside Portfolio and Asset Management team providing property accounting services for both corporate occupier and investor clients.

The Role will specifically work on clients for the Property and Asset Management team, based in London office, who meet the needs of high profile landlord investors across all sectors and all regions of the UK and will be required to undertake a wide range of property management accounting functions including:

  • Managing the property accounts/client accounts for a portfolio of commercial properties.
  • Preparing of year end service charge accounts.
  • Handling client accounting including timely transfer of client's funds.
  • Preparing period-end client reporting packs.
  • Preparing the VAT reports.
  • Performing bank reconciliation for the client accounts.
  • Responsible for the rent deposit administration.
  • Overseeing the operations of purchase ledger.

The Person: The ideal applicant will have at least 4 years' relevant hands-on property management accounting experience with a strong interpersonal ability coupled with rapport building, effective listening, questioning and summarising skills. You will be highly numerate and have an experience of using computer-based property management accounting systems (e.g. Yardi, TRAMPS, Qube, Horizon etc.) with excellent Excel skills. Part-qualification or qualified by experience, e.g. part qualified ACCA /CIMA or AAT qualification would be helpful. This role suits for a Candidate who has a high degree of flexibility and the ability to adapt to unexpected changes initiated by either the client or the department and will be happy to work from London office as and when required by the team.
