We have a unique opportunity for an Income Maximisation Officer to join our exciting business until April 2019 in a home-based role.

Key accountabilities and measures

  • To work with customers to maximise income.
  • To contribute to the attainment of top quartile performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop a digital income maximisation service, produce policies, procedures and strategies.
  • Provide training, expertise and support to colleagues with financial inclusion and income maximisation, including budgeting, basic debt advice and welfare benefits.
  • Create and support partnerships with local authorities and other stakeholders.
  • Initiate and implement continuous improvement including preparation for Internal Audit inspections and any required improvement action plans.
  • Continually develop and improve the Income Maximisation and Debt Management action plans.
  • Provide technical expertise in dealing with appeals and benefit reclaims.
Skills and experience

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • Proven experience of working within a housing environment
  • Demonstrable experience of taking an asset based / strengths based approach to building capacity within individuals and communities.
  • First class communication and customer service skills, with the ability to develop credible relationships with our customers.
  • A natural ability to influence and negotiate.
  • The ability to work under pressure, managing multiple, conflicting priorities at any one time
  • Highly developed organisational skills
  • A self-starter who thrives in an autonomous working environment
