An experienced Customer Support Engineer with a background in Quality is required for my global leading Automotive client located in County Durham.

You will have a background in a Tier 1 Automotive environment and be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient customer liaison, which includes;
Dealing with concerns, processes, product audits, warranty and customer site visits.

Principal Responsibilities
The Quality Engineer will ensure APQP requirements are fulfilled for new projects covering the quality aspects; Process Quality Control Plans (Prototype, Pre-launch, SOP), Measurement Systems Analysis Plan and Preliminary Process Capability Plan (support engineering with the creation & implementation of the Process Flow charts & PFMEA).

Ensure effective implementation of Dual Launch Netting Process, including the monitoring of the data produced to effective close out of issues raised as required.

Ensure PPAP Requirements for new projects, design changed products& line transfers are fulfilled in accordance with customer & TS16949 requirements; Raising / submitting PSW Paperwork, Raising / submitting appearance approval reports, Raising / submitting dimensional reports and Raising / submitting material test reports.

The successful candidate will be qualified to a minimum of HNC level and have demonstrable experience in a similar role.
