You will play a key part performing a performance engineering role across Sky's technology platform where we strive to engineer the best experience for our customers across a number of platforms and channels.

Your key responsibilities:
- Actively influence architecture and design of Sky's entire customer platform.
- Deliver the latest products and offerings to our customers.
- Continually drive projects, some agile, some waterfall & others somewhere in the middle.
- Work with some of the latest industry leading technologies and technical innovation.
- Part of a team who continually looking to the future and growing our knowledge and skills in line with industry trends.
- Proactively contribute to the evolution of performance engineering - Continuous Integration, Test & Delivery, Cloud, Virtualisation, Docker, Elastic, fully automated environment and monitoring solutions.
- Own, support and enhance our multi-million pound performance testing environments, and the tool solutions driving them.

Your Skills:
- Strong communicator who can comfortably share test findings at all levels.
- Experienced performance engineers who can demonstrate strong technical skills and understanding.
- Experience of industry standard performance testing tools, HPE/Microfocus Performance Center/LoadRunner or similar tools.
- Able to multi task, prioritise and be able to manage their time effectively.
- A strong appreciation of complex architecture and solutions.
- Experience of SOA and modern rich HTML5 AJAX applications.
- Strong desire to understand the why of performance issues and not be happy just to report response times.
- Desire to improve and engineer performance at all levels of the solutions from tests through to infrastructure.
- A go getter who will own problems and see them through to successful resolution.
- Embrace continuous improvement and have a strong desire to improve what we do and how we do it.
- Able to understand the business impact of technical problems and be able to make risk assessments.
