An ICT Support Specialist is required to join a modern, vibrantco-educational school for 2 to 18 year olds. As the ICT SupportSpecialist (Network) your role will be to install, maintain and managethe availability and security of the School's network (and associatedhardware and software), in order to provide an effective IT environmentto support the academic and curriculum needs of the School. You willalso be required to support the physical and virtual environments(including cloud technologies) across the Junior and Senior Schools andto be proactive in ensuring that the School has a secure and stable ICTplatform from which to operate. This appointment is Permanent Full-Timeposition (52 weeks a year) from 9am - 5pm. Principal Accountabilities: -To design, configure, optimise, monitor and maintain the School's LANand WANs and in doing so providing an effective, reliable and securecommunications infrastructure that follows industry best practise tounderpin all corporate computer systems. - To effectively implement andmanage the delivery of ICT Infrastructure projects based on a broad anddetailed knowledge of the current and emerging technologies during bothterm time and during school holidays that will improve the ICTfacilities throughout the School. - To maintain and monitor theintegrity of the School's electronically held information by performingregular reviews and testing of the back-up systems, disaster recoveryplanning and input into the Business Continuity plan where appropriateand informing the School of required changes and enhancements tocontinually improve the School's recovery position. TechnicalAdvisory/Support: - As part of the ICT Support Team you are to promoteand deliver fair and highly quality customer care services to all pupilsand staff. This will be achieved by providing hands-on technical supportfor staff and pupils of the School, and to provide staff coverassistance to ICT colleagues as required. - To provide support, guidanceand training to staff in the use of ICT technologies used at the School(including 1:1 iPad deployment and BYOD services).Qualifications/Experience: - Expert working knowledge of the followingis essential: - Windows Server installation and administration (AD, GPO,DHCP, DNS, DFS/R, Hyper-V) - Exchange Server and Office 365 - SharePoint2010+ - LANs/WLANs & WANs - VLAN and Routing installation andadministration - SAN installation and administration - Firewall - WiFi -Encryption technologies - System monitoring and management, includingSystem Centre and DPM/Veeam. - Scripting skills (Powershell, VB) Salary:Competitive Remuneration Package depending on experience.
