The Business Join us as an Automation Testing Specialist in our Digital Studio in Edinburgh This is a chance to work on the high profile Strategic Account Opening (SAO) programme, which will transform one of our customers' most fundamental experiences with us The programme is omni channel, dynamic and exciting, and is being delivered with the latest DevOps tools and using Agile methodology You'll be joining a positive and supportive team based in a new, modern digital studio, and can expect a relaxed and casual environment with a range of flexible working optionsWhat you'll doYou'll help to deliver the SAO Programme: a transformational programme that is spearheading the adoption of DevOps and of scaled Agile delivery. We're drawing on state of the art development methodologies and customer-led design to deliver a best in class customer onboarding and product sales platform that will create a frictionless experience for both new and existing customers, and will cover the Digital and Mobile channels as well as the in-branch service. Your role will be to develop and deliver the automation testing strategy for the SAO programme; you can expect to work in conjunction with other test team members in the UK and India, and you'll also interface with the scrum and environment teams to plan and execute automation testing. Other aspects of your role will include: Creating comprehensive, robust, easy to maintain automation frameworks for System Integration Testing Participating in scrum stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, planning and estimating meetings Working closely with functional testers and creating automated test scripts Planning and delivering capability enhancements to the automation framework Selecting automation testing tools which are suitable for the application being tested Resolving day-to-day technical problems for the automation work streamThe skills you'll needWe're looking for someone with deep experience of designing automation testing frameworks, and selecting the right automation testing tools suitable for the programme, and strong hands-on experience of testing automation. You should have experience of test driven development and continuous integration preferably with experience of Jenkins and knowledge of Atlassian toolsets, including Jira, Cucumber and Bamboo. You'll also need significant expertise with BDD, Cucumber/Restful API, Node.js, Protractor and Selenium. We'll also expect: Experience of writing automation scripts for mobile and multi channel digital application Experience leading a team of automation developers, testers and SDET in a multi-site environment A delivery focus, with the ability to accept and deliver help to meet deadlines Strong organisation skills, self-direction and the ability to work on a number of priorities at once Excellent communications skills, both verbally and in writing A team focused approachWhile not essential, experience of Java development would be an advantage, as would knowledge of micro services, AWS and IBM DataPower.
