We are looking for a Rent and Service Charge Accountant for a 12 month period, to cover a secondment within the Finance team.

To be successful you will have experience of rent accounting and rents or sales ledger system management. This is essential because rental income forms the main source of income for Cottsway, therefore the system must be accurate to provide timely updates for the whole organisation.

Experience of financial accounts, budgets and revenue control including understanding VAT requirements is essential. You will ensure that rents charged are in accordance with statutory guidelines, and will carry out the annual rent review process, therefore experience of different rent tenures and account types is desirable.

This role will also provide support to the Finance Team in other financial accounting responsibilities, as well as supporting the Head of Finance in producing information for Corporate Reporting. You will therefore obtain a high level of interpersonal and assertiveness skills, with the ability work as a team and communicate effectively.

You will be AAT qualified, ideally to NVQ level 4, or have the equivalent level of knowledge and skill acquired by experience. You will also have strong excel and analytical skills, along with the ability to work within tight deadlines and manage your own workload.
