Yorkshire Water are looking for an FP&A Accountant to join their Finance Team. We are offering a salary of up to £40,000 (dependent on experience), 25 days’ holiday, pension and much more.
Role location: Western House, Buttershaw, Bradford.
What will the role involve?
Your role will provide excellent, accurate, proactive and value-added reporting to our business leaders, Board and shareholders. You will be responsible for the consolidation of Kelda Group companies to produce financial data for reporting, and will also be involved with the forecasting and budgeting process.
The FP&A team will collate commentary from across the business into month end reporting and will be responsible for ensuring variances are challenged and explained. We expect the successful candidate to be challenging the financial reports and the explanations stakeholders give to the. You will ensure financial control is maintained and work closely with the Accountant to Report and Business Partner teams to ensure reporting is delivered on time and to a high quality.
You will support & deputise for Senior FP&A Accountant including attending meetings and managing team issues when they are absent. Ensuring all material budget variances are identified and explained and that all financial forecasts are robust and challenged. Maintain and improve financial processes and ensure processes are documented in a consistent format and level of detail.
What skills are we looking for?
We need a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) who has experience of planning and forecasting process Experience of month end reporting including analysis and commentary, and being able to challenge internal stakeholders on those numbers to make sure we have an accurate picture. Must have experience of consolidation and presentation of planning and forecasting and reporting month and year end results to internal stakeholders.
A management accountant with the ability to develop, maintain & leverage value from an internal & external network. Good communications skills, both oral & written accompanied with strong analytical and problem solving skills with a good attention to detail.
