This Survey & Mapping company specialises in high precision Land& Topographical Surveys, Underground Surveys, Building Surveys andGeospatial Information System (GIS) Solutions across the UK andinternationally. They are seeking software and web applicationdevelopers to join the company's IT and GIS solutions team. The rolewill be based in Lancaster or their Penrith office depending on thedevelopers location. They are looking for full stack developers to workon their web application mapping solutions. The role will involve clientand/or server side development. The ideal candidate will have experiencewith JavaScript or Python, however candidates with experience of otherlanguages/web frameworks (i.e. PHP, C#, ASP.NET) with an interest inlearning these languages are also encouraged to apply. Essential Skills- Experience of web application development - Experience with eitherJavascript or Python - Interest in or desire to learn web mapping skillsDesirable - Django and AngularJS frameworks - HTML, CSS & SASS -Knowledge of other web languages & frameworks (i.e. PHP, C#,ASP.NET) - Linux system administration The role-holder will work onprojects involving web based spatial data and will utilise robustapplication frameworks and mapping libraries to build innovative webbased GIS solutions as part of an agile development team. This is anexciting opportunity in new product development and the successfulcandidate will work on rewarding projects which will require continuousskill development. This role would suit an individual with goodprogramming skills, wishing to pursue a software development careerworking with geospatial solutions.
