BI Developer (Data warehousing, BI Stack, Tableau, Greenfield - SQLServer, Full BI stack and latest BI tools) This is truly a career defining position where you will have theopportunity to help build up the BI team and define the BI roadmap. Withover 60 million in investmentAt the moment, there is some businessintelligence in place but most of this work is being done by an offshoreteam. You will be given the scope to use existing resources to help thefirst few stages of implementing robust business intelligence solutions,where you will then have the opportunity to build up a team within heU.K (from scratch.) The main objective of the investments into Business Intelligence is foranalytics and reporting - reporting being at the forefront. There arecurrently no stakeholders in the business receiving reports andtherefore little communication between departments, and little insightinto the operational and business performance. This needs to change ifthe company are going to reach their ambitious (but realistic) goals inthe next 2 years. If they have managed to grow this big without BI,imagine what they can achieve with the right person implementing a sleekBusiness intelligence function. In terms of Technology, they are a Microsoft house running on SQLServer. They will be using the full BI stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) as wellas some other tools for visualisation and insight analysis. They'veimplemented Tableau but there is also talks of PowerBI/Tableau/QlikSensefor the reporting, but we will leave it up to your knowledge andexperience to help plan what tech to implement. They are also planningto migrate everything into the latest tech as well. You will also beworking across Business Analysts, Project Managers, QA, SoftwareEngineers etc.in a very collaborative environment where you and yourgrowing team will have opportunity to learn different technologies. The CTO was bought on board just under 2 years (head hunted from one ofthe best tech teams in the U.K, and fastest growing/lucrative businessin the world) to grow I.T to 30 40 people. He has implemented a heavyagile environment and helped the business recognise the importance oftraining their developers and utilising the most cutting edge technologyavailable. We are now bringing a Business Intelligence Developer to helpsupport the BI manager in building and implementing this function fromthe ground up. What boxes do you need to tick? Experience building up Business Intelligence solutions using theMicrosoft SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) - with a focus on ETL and reporting Don't worry too much about SSAS If you have SSAS, that is a bonus Extensive knowledge of Data warehouse design and interest in greenfieldprojects Understanding and experience of reporting (designing reportingfunctions and transforming the way the business understand and interpretkey information) Transforming reports into visual representation with good knowledge ofBI tools and trends Excellent business acumen and the ability to liaise/ influencestakeholders on all levels Ambitious, determined and passionate about Data and BI This is genuinely a great opportunity, and if you were reading this andnot feeling that excited or picturing how this will further develop yourskills/ career - this might not be right for you.
