A diverse, senior role with a broad remit including: end to end management accounting, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, business partnering and commercial support, finance transformation, systems and process support.

Client Details

Our Client are a large telecoms and communications infrastructure organisation.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing, from a financial point of view, shared costs (including rent, rates, circuits and utilities)
  • Working closely with business teams to understand the underlying costs for each area
  • Producing month end numbers, along with insightful commentaries on any variances, and leading on the budget and forecasting activities for these areas
  • Ensuring that planned cost savings are appropriately tracked and achieved
  • Applying knowledge and experience to transactions including statutory accounts, financial statements and reports
  • Providing financial support, including month end accounting, forecasting, budgeting and analyses of budget variations
  • Financial analysis to support business cases for bids and pricing decisions
  • Providing commercial support in contract negotiation and decisions around operating models
  • Managing relationships with external stakeholders
  • Maintaining robust financial controls
  • Collaborating with heads of departments internally to ensure financial systems and processes are fit for purpose and improved continually
  • Managing the performance of a finance team in order to deliver finance processes


The successful candidate will:

  • Be a Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) educated to degree level
  • Have 5 years plus PQE with a grounding in FP & A and reporting
  • Demonstrate significant experience in both management and financial accounting as well as business partnering and/or commercially focused roles
  • Demonstrate experience of transformation projects and evidence successful delivery of change
  • Possess strong Excel skills, along with modelling, and ideally experience with both Oracle and Hyperion Finance systems
  • Have an entrepreneurial, commercial mindset and the ability to drive change
  • Ideally have experience of working within the IT, Technology or Telecoms sectors
  • Be available to start at short notice, ideally within two weeks
