Contract: Full Time, permanent

Hours: 1.0 FTE - 35 hours per week

Salary: £17,593 (usual starting salary) - £19,552 per annum,

The Workers’ Educational Association is a charity and the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of adult education. We are a charity with a strong sense of social purpose, dedicated to bringing great teaching into the heart of local communities. All our educational provision is developed with this in mind and our courses can be set up almost anywhere – for example in clubs, community centres, village halls, schools, pubs or where people work.

We are looking to recruit a General Ledger Assistant to assist with all aspects of the Association’s general ledger tasks and responsibilities including bank reconciliations and accounting for fixed assets.

The post-holder will ensure timely and accurate processing of the ledger tasks and may be required to assist colleagues with general administrative support within the agreed procedures and with appropriate training.

We offer generous terms and conditions including 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays), pension scheme – subject to eligibility. Please note holiday entitlement, including bank holidays is pro rata for part time staff.
