Sales Ledger Clerk needed for a bubbly and sociable credit control team in Gloucester.

This is an entry-level role and would suit someone either AAT level, or someone who would like to start their career in finance.

  • Timely and accurate raising of invoices and credit notes. Daily processing of sales ledger invoices and ensuring these are raised as per branch requests.
  • Processing of cash receipts. Accurate posting and allocation of all cash received into the bank to ensure deadlines are met. Taking card payments from various customers by phone.
  • Dealing with customer and branch queries. Regular liaison with the branch will be necessary to ensure all queries are dealt with promptly.
  • Provision of excellent customer service. To respond in a timely manner to correspondence and calls from customers. To ensure customer accounts are allocated correctly and are kept up to date.
  • Your profile:

  • You will be a strong communicator with a good telephone manner and able to work as a team
  • Ideally have experience working with MS Excel and have some exposure to accountancy or finance
  • Eager to develop and progress
  • Data input accuracy
